Back to School Health Fair – August 2022
In partnership with Emancipation Park, Houston, TX

In August 2022, we had the honor of partnering with Emancipation Park for a Back to School Health Fair. This event, a collaboration we’ve enjoyed for six years, allowed us to host activities in a special area known as ‘The Kid’s Zone.’ Thumbs up to Emancipation Park for giving us this privilege to engage and inspire young people!

During the event, we engaged attendees with meaningful conversations by asking, “What would you do to make the world a better place?” Their answers were insightful and heartwarming:

• Take away guns and drugs to create safer communities.
• Help the homeless by giving them resources and care.
• Protect the environment by keeping it clean.

One young man stood out with his thoughtful response:
“I’d tell girls every day that they are beautiful.”
I smiled and told him, “That really would make the world a better place—every girl loves to feel beautiful, and that would put a smile on their face every day!”

The event was filled with physical activities, arts, and crafts to keep the kids engaged and active. At one point, a child enthusiastically declared, “This is the fun table!” Moments like these truly highlight the joy and impact we aim to create.

Our continued partnership with Emancipation Park has been a rewarding experience, and we look forward to more opportunities to inspire, uplift, and encourage the next generation.
